Recipe: Red Newt Cellars "Circle" Riesling Strawberry Sorbet
Ingredients
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1 1/2 pounds strawberries
1 cup "Circle" Riesling
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup lemon juice
Preparation
1. Make simple syrup: bring water to a boil & dissolve sugar, stirring constantly. Set aside to cool.
2. Mix remaining ingredients in blender; add simple syrup & process for 2-3 minutes until smooth.
3. Strain & discard pulp.
4. Refrigerate for 2 hours.
5. Transfer to ice cream maker & follow manufacturers instructions.
Yields 1 quart.
