-----edited to add---------
DISCLAIMER: THIS VIDEO WAS DONE AS A JOKE; IT IS ENTIRELY TONGUE-IN-CHEEK. I AM NOT MAKING FUN OF THE LDS CHURCH, PER SE, I'M JUST POKING FUN AT ALL THE HYPE THAT SURROUNDS THE "NEW-FOUND" PHOTO OF JOSEPH SMITH.

As of late, I've inferred by some people's comments that they think I'm really claiming that the obviously-not-JS L. Ron Hubbard is actually JS. I never actually thought that one would have to really be a statistician to even understand the joke; I guess I was wrong. Anyway, back to the normal video description.

"When I first saw that photo something dark hit me. Something of the adversary, when I looked at that picture ... All I can report on is the immense knee-jerk reaction I got from the Spirit ... I looked to that video to hopefully see a man I love, respect, and admire greatly, and it just has Satan all over it ..."

"I know it is him, not by proof or knowledge, but because of the spirit I feel. I see that picture, and I look into the eyes, and all the stories and truths come to mind. It is him. The first prophet of this dispensation, through whom God and Jesus restored the truth and the fulness of the gospel."

"Well the Holy Ghost tells me that it's actually a photo of L. Ron Hubbard; I feel it in my heart ... Even though logic and common sense says it's not L. Ron Hubbard, I must trust the Holy Ghost on this one ..."

Well I'll be damned, the Holy Ghost can't seem to give any straight answers (so what's new?). So instead, I've chosen to rely on some pulled-out-of-thin-air, arbitrary statistics:

"An LDS statistician is 2.186% sure that the man in this photograph is Joseph Smith, Jr. the Prophet."

All with the help of some overly-dramatic, climactic music (I figure since such music tends to help people feel the Holy Ghost, it should work here as well.) :-)

  • whoever made this is so stupid. let people believe what they want to believe, and stop caring so much. if people believe in the lds faith how does it harm you?

  • @kennachristensen This video is not anti-LDS, per se. It's merely a parody of another video depicting the "new-found" RLDS photograph of Joseph Smith. I think I spent 20 min. or so making this video (and that was four years ago.) So it's not like I'm some career "anti-Mormon" trying to pull you away from the LDS church. But that original video has since been taken down by it's producer. My video served only to lampoon the production style of the original video. Nothing more.

  • you poor poor clueless people how could you say these things and give into the temtations of satan? well i will be laughing when christ comes back and leaves you all here.

  • @themetalgod23

I'll join in laughing at all these poor suckers left behind. However, I'll be riding behind Zeus in my chariot of fire.

  • "Not making fun" of Joseph Smith? You are plainly making fun of Joseph Smith. He was a prophet of God. The church of Jesus Christ is no more a cult than any other religion. Is your Ignorant Clan a cult?

  • @3511able Unfortunately, the video I'm parodying was taken down by its creator. If only you saw that video, you'd clearly know that I'm poking fun of the *style of that particular video* (it was awful!) JS is entirely irrelevant to my presentation. I'd have done the same thing to any other cheesy video regardless of who is being depicted in it. *rolls eyes*

    >The church of Jesus Christ is no more a cult than any other religion.

I couldn't agree more with you. They're all equally full of shit.

  • @TheSkepticChristian No doubt that Albert Einstein was smart but he once said that if there is no God to create this earth then you might as well take apart a watch, put it in a box, shake it up, then open the box and the watch will be put together.. obviously talking about how big bang theory is pretty childish. and now he says the bible is childish ? which one is it albert ? this tells me his little quotes were nothing but remarks to make people in all beliefs like him. no truth whatsoever lol

  • @eag11e I do believe in the Bible, but if you make fun of my religious beliefs, you should make fun of your own as well. Do you believe in talking donkeys??

"the Bible a collection of honorable but still primitive legends which are nevertheless pretty childish." -- Albert Einstein

Now don't respond, you are ignorant, and that's why you probably reject Evolution.

Your ignorance tells me that you reject evolution

  • @ElVatoLoco916

Where is it taught that JS is the way truth and the life?

  • he was not even alive long enough to reach an age as this, this is not him.

  • He existed. He registered to run for President. The records are in the library of congress.

There is also a charter given to the Mormons. Joseph Smith was the Mayor of Nauvoo

  • @mathyou9 "I couldn't agree more. They're all equally full of shit".

That is the sound of a nail being hit squarely on the head. I like how he asks if your iginorant clan is a cult. WTF does that mean???

  • @ElVatoLoco916 "NO one comes to the father except through me"

But Joseph Smith didn´t contradict this.

On the contrary, except one day when he was boasting he always put Christ before him.

Even that day when he was boasting, he didn´t deny Christ.

You don´t have to praise Joseph Smith but he was a good man who died for his believes and he continue inspiring people to repentance and come to Christ.
