Grumpy old walrus? - Un vieux morse grincheux ?

- Walruses are pushy and noisy beasts, on land and in the water. The Cousteau team found them pretty uncooperative, too, about being filmed or recorded up close. A solitary old bull is tolerant of the humans drawing closer until a younger bull sounds an alarm call to return to the herd in the water. The extraordinary sound—like the ringing of a bell—is produced from two air sacs on either side of the animals neck.

- Les morses sont des animaux arrogants et bruyants sur terre comme dans l'eau. L'équipe Cousteau les a trouvés assez peu coopératifs quand il s'est agi de les filmer et les enregistrer de près. Un vieux morse solitaire tolère que les humains s'approchent de lui jusqu'à ce qu'un jeune sonne l'alarme qui renvoie le troupeau à l'eau. Ce son extraordinaire, comme celui d'une cloche, est produit par deux sacs d'air de chaque côté du cou de l'animal.
