Rev. Fulwider, Imam Abdurham Sykes Orlando, FL At Seminole State College on 1/11/12 there was an Interfaith Dialogue led by Rev. Bryan Fulwider, Imam Aburahmm Sykes, and Barbara Weinreich.

In attendance were Middle Eastern Christians (Usama Dakdok),some Former Muslims from Iran & Florida who are fluent in Arabic and expert in Shariah Islamiyya, a retired Lutheran Pastor, Christians, Jewish, Baha'i, agnostic.

Imam Sykes and Rev. Fulwider were deathly afraid of the cameras and tried to bully the group into demanding the cameras be turned off. When the group did not back Rev. Fulwider and Imam Sykes power play Fulwider & Sykes cancelled the meeting and stormed out telling lies and publicly slandering some of those in attendance as they left the meeting room.

Rev. Fulwider and Imam Sykes displayed, in one attendees opinion, intolerance, bigotry, and hatred toward those who did not share his religious or world view. It is embarrassing to have these bully's representing Orlando's interfaith community.

Next, one of the meetings regulars tried to start a physical altercation with one of other attendees over the camera. The instigator of the fight quickly submitted when challenged then sat down as ordered by the person he threatened.

Then the room settled down and a True Interfaith Dialogue took place as they should be conducted. Not everyone agreed on matters of faith but the interactions and conversations were mature, respectful, thoughtful, and very interesting.

The meeting continued for over an hour after Imam Sykes and Rev. Fulwider left the room.

Besides, WTF does race have to do with this? What did I say way back that illicit your comment to me?

  • @JesusChristAboveAll

There r 4 main races but you are correct that there has been mixing for a very long time. I just attended a presentation by the NG genome project and the basic conclusion is that we are all highly mixed and it is not a new phenomenon. But still there are generalities i.e. most Northern Europeans are light skinned, most Africans are dark regardless of the mixing.

Skin colour is not defined by "latitude". If true, why are the Inuit and Dene in my country so dark skinned?

  • @JesusChristAboveAll I just looked right before 7 minutes and the disparaging remark you are referring to is "she has no clue what she is talking about". Technically this does qualify as a truth statement unless she can show that it isn't true to which you already conceded. It was not a personal attack but a truth statement so it doesn't even qualify as ad hominem. Trento even supported this saying he is Jewish and was not offended.

  • @belltower2012 [[In that situation, there was a need for prior consent.]] Prior consent is not generally needed when there is no expectation of privacy. Even in the states where laws were passed making it illegal to video police officers there are cases that have pointed out the unconstitutionality of these laws.

  • @JesusChristAboveAll You will have to be specific of this "disparaging remark" because as Christians we are not supposed to judge by appearance but with righteous judgement. I have seen Usama engage Muslims many times and his aim is to point out the errors and lies in Islam for the point of conversion. It indeed results in much fruit. So it's not a matter of opinion but a direct point should be pointed out according to Scripture to verify if it is a righteous judgement.

  • @belltower2012 [[Your "truth" might not be "truth" to someone else]] If you say truth is not absolute, you are indeed making an absolute statement. If someone makes an inaccurate statement (which is easily verified by checking the text) then it is not hate speech to correct that statement. Besides hate speech is an attack of free speech through absurd political correct views. When a law is broken and hate speech is applied the act such as violence is already illegal.

I disagree about the existnce of 4 races of humans. There are no clear divisions between indigenous peoples, as you look around the world. Skin colour, and other characteristics, vary all around the world. Skin colour in particular changes gradually, depending on latitude.

People have wandered and migrated from ancient times, and they made babies as they went, often mixing with the locals. Particularly male explorers, picked up women in new locations; Maoris for example.

Usama did not disrespect that Jewish woman's "views": he called attention to the fact that a claim she made ---- about what the Bible texts say ---- is untrue.

He did follow it up with a dispaging remark about the woman, which was regrettable, IMO.

  • @belltower2012

It can be established, as an objective truth, that the Bible does NOT say that "God helps those who help themselves". Any Jewish or Christian preacher who truly thinks that IS in the Bible is grossly ignorant of the Sciptures that they are supposed (and generally are claiming) to know and preach. So what Usama said was true. That Jewish lady should have known better; wasn't she supposed to be a cleric?

It was nice to see the bullies fail.
