@97AngelofMusic They said Carlotta's singing voice is better suited for opera, which I think they just meant as a general statement. Even if it is dubbed, the voice itself is still better suited for opera than Christine's is.

I really like this movie, but they ended up getting a better singer for carlotta then Christine! yes Christine has a nice voice, but not for opera, her voice would not have been heard past the second row, while carlotta's singing voice is done by a professional opera singer.

My favorite part is the huge breath right before the final gigantic notes. It really reminds you that they're singing VERY difficult music. It's funny. Also, I love this song.
