it would be nice to take advantage of the Swap Audio function from youtube to bring some life to this video

please answer this , how do you set the camera setting for green screen. i have hf100 and when i shoot in p mode the background changes when i change position in the frame, so it is impossible to key out, please give me some advise. It may look like that the auto exposure is adjusting or something, how do i set the correct settings???

Hey, just saw your comment. Sorry, I deleted the video I was mentioning. At any rate, independent lighting is where it's at. Light your backdrop first, so that it is super-saturated white, then put your talent in front of it (preferably at least 6-7 feet away) and then light them so that they are slightly underlit. Shoot the video, take it into your editor, and raise the lighting so that the talent looks right, and the white background should be super crisp. :)

It's a blizzard this weekend so I'll likely record how I did this green screen effect. About time huh?

The cpu may cause your videos to turn out Jittery and may take a long time to render.. I would recommend using a desktop computer with 2-4 cpu cores at 2.5ghz or higher. Video editing software typically takes advantage of multiple cpu cores.

If you could do that, that would be great! :) I'd love that!

I edit on a 2GHz Macbook as well. I usually get fairly fast rendering speeds with HD footage

u should play a video or something in the background on the greenscreen ^^

Hi,
2GHz Macbook with 2GB DDR3 is enough.... I Work with this
I think if you used after effects to key out. It'd look much cleaner but very good anyways.

@xRandomShadowManx I'll need to try after effects. I have it but never used it to key out the green screen. I'll try it!

I am just wondering if it is possible to render and edit clips in programs such as final cut express? What do you recommend for the computing power (i run on a 2GHz Macbook)? From your point of view do you think it will be very difficult and slow to render and edit footage on a computer with this type of power?
THANKS ~

I'm not an expert on the hardware needed but I have a Dell laptop with 2.5 dual-core and 3GB RAM. It is sufficient. I'd try upgrading your memory if you think it is too slow. See how that works.
