a police officer brought something to my attention recently ,,he said when he was a young officer it used to be when you pulled up on aqn accident scene or any call the officer looked for people he could help, now the mentality is who can you arrest. He said the entire theme of policing has changed and now for the better. In the past the officers knew the people they protected now its so impersonal and they bust your head if you even try to explain whats going on

what do you expect from the new communist president soon to be dictator. Anyone even discussing the constitution is a suspected terrorist,,,that should never be in the USA. How can they arrest people just for exercising their rights,,,I dont think most cops even know what the constitution says and that is sad. This country should get back to it's roots.

what has changed is NOT the police, what has changed is your illusion that the police have ever have worked for "us".
look into the history of police forces.. they became "necessary" precisely at that moment when vast asset disparity developed.
they exist primarily to protect the property of the rich from the masses who are rightly pissed off at their continued dispossession, both political and economic.

Its like you must instruct your kids (nowadays) not to be anything like them.
You could tell them of the days (long ago) when police used to be good, served the public and protected folks from the bad guys.
Nowadays they pull up and its the image of the mafia that first comes to mind.
Sad, bully those protecting your freedoms? I think it will only hit home when their own children become victims of all this
