This is an excellent PSA about wearing a seatbelt when in a vehicle. It's your life and it's the law. Buckle Up!

  • i never wear a seatbelt. u mad faggots?

  • @jaredmankly Your're the reason first responders carry scoop shovels.

  • First off, wearing a seatbelt is not a choice, it's the law. Secondly, the driver of the vehicle is in charge and bears responsibility for the passengers. The driver, as well as any unseatbelted passgens are subject to a citation, if seen by law enforcement officers. Unfortunately, 13 years olds tend to believe they know it all. Obviously, they don't. You might show her some YouTube videos of car crashes and the effect of seatbelt, worn and not.

  • Wow learn how to drive and ya it's funny how the guy not wearing the seatbelt lived.

  • An unseatbelted passenger becomes a deadly weapon in a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle is responsible for all passengers. Unsecure items such as cell phones, etc. become projectiles, capable of killing.

  • Personally, I find this commercial hilarious. DIE TEENAGERS DIE! Also, as a PSA this is poorly designed, see the Embrace Life Seat Belt PSA to know what a good PSA design is.

  • Actually, the message in this PSA is well conveyed, but your suggestion of Embrace Life is good. I must agree that Embrace is much more creative. Thanks for your suggestion.

  • That's because you can't put a seatbelt on a motorcycle, you ridiculous person, and even if you did it could be potentially dangerous because of the impaired mobility. Imagine being thrown wildly off your bike and probably breaking some useful bones against the pavement versus remaining attached to it while it scrapes your face and side off against the concrete.

  • This is one of the best ads for Road Safety I've seen. I actually saw this when I was 12. Scared the living daylights out of me. Though, that's probably because we had to sit through and see every single DoE/PSA ads one after the other!

    No changing that.

    No forseeing it, either.

  • @Tounushi Yeah well if it's your time to go it's your time to go.

  • @mikey77771

True, but no human is perfect. All it needs is that split-second.

As I said, it's the other people that are on the road. Skills cannot negate physics. If somebody is careening towards you, your options are limited. Even IF you have time to notice the other car coming towards you and make a decision, can you get your car out of the way before the other guy hits you?

  • @Tounushi Yeah but a skilled driver has way better chance of avoiding a accident then someone that can't drive at all

  • @mikey77771

It isn't only about the driver's skillz on the road. It's everybody else on the road too.

You might be a world-class driver, but those skills won't mean shit on a kebab when somebody smashes their SUV into your sedan.
