Amsterdam earned its name for a bicycle friendly city that promotes a healthier, more active lifestyle for its residents that ranges from children to senior. With people meeting face to face instead of bumper to bumper, the city challenges us to rethink our car centered-lives here in the United States. (Video and words paraphrased from MichaelBauch)
I wish Canada would do this!

Well done mister Bauch, brought a smile to my face to see how others think about our bike-madness. (actually it's VERY normal)

Wow, I love this video. I live in holland myself. But i really had to laugh at the ""fjetstag" thing.
You spell it as: fietsdag. And the pronounciation is a little bit different in holland :P.
And what's so weird/special about the special bike roads and bike traffic signals? We have them everywhere.
ps. I never thought people from other countrys think about our way of bikes like that.

Very nice commentary! It's up to countries like these to set examples for the rest of the world in green energy-saving transportation.

I drive a bike at work in a large paper mill. I always beat the 4-wheeler drivers and golfcart drivers to the job (when I want to)
Nicely done video.
