I went to Sabtang, Batanes in March, went to find the oldest traditional music, Laji. In Batanes Island, there were only few people who can sing Laji.

I'm beginning to love the Ivatans. I got here after watching a video on Ivatan architecture video. I thought the Spanish-Era bahay the bato was an architectural marvel, but after seeing the Ivatan design, I'm thinking twice about the kind of home I wanted built when I retire back home. This song sounds very pure & sung from the heart. I wish someone can come up with chords so I can play it on my guitar. Thanks for sharing this video.
