  • Wow, it doesn't take much to convince the American people that you are a good president these days. All you have to do is not interrupt their favorite TV show. No wonder we elect such shit biscuits into office.

  • Why would the State of The Union speech pre-empt any network or cable shows (except C-Span)? There's no requirement that they carry the SOTU speech live.

    In fact, it would probably be a public service if they didn't all air it at the same time.
