I loved that you did this.. and that you donate to the sheltered women.. and your right, it is appreciated by them. I never had to run to them, but have been in that situation. Its a very complex situation, and your confidence gets shattered. So mentioning them is fantastic, as they often get forgotten. The womens shelters are such sad places but to be away from their abusers is a step in the right direction.
It's so sweet to see them ooooh and ahhh over a simple lipstick or eye pencil.
