@kaindrg i mean compared to all lamellar, not just leather, i think its slightly better against blunt trauma, but but lamellar has an issue in that the smaller the plate, the easier to damage, plates start getting strong once there becomes les bigger ones, its why roman armour is superiour to scale armour, i assume you know the diff between lamellar and scale? but maille is essentially a chain mesh, and is always combined with padding underneath, and its very strong look up myarmoury on maille
