I have the laptop but the mouse pad still doesnt turn off when i tap on the corner of it.

@MultiIeatpoop check your mouse settings, you might have disabled the option :)

@CeciliaNamie actually, if you go to the hp website, and customize the laptop, there IS a backlit keyboard option. Keep in mind it costs an extra $25.00 . . .

@iamowe1992 zetnet just gave you a link where you can check allot of others have the same problem. I guess you're lucky or have some new keyboard version or keyoard drivers

Very good keyboard you said? I want to conntradict you my friend. Even now typing this comment from an HP Pavilion DM4 I had to correct it twice for skipped letters. @CeciliaNamie The new dm4-3050us has a backlight, check it out at hp.com

@kitkat39 Well I wouldn't choose a dm4 for Video editing.

A. It it only 14" which is okay if you go around editing. but i like editing with a 15.6" or 17.3" laptop

B.The processor isn't the best for editing. (depends on how you customize it)

But overall those are the only cons since the hard drive has 640GB =D

@CeciliaNamie If you would like a backlight

go to shopping.hp.com (for usa peeps only) and search up dm4t and customize it to i5 processor and just to down the scrolling thing above the laptop and you should see keyboard and select backlight. Sadly i3 processor can't run the backlight (not sure why =_+?
