the accent is so thick that I really can't understand what she is saying. Other than that, nice story.

Yea, but somehow when I recorded a couple of people reading the story, the stronger accent just seemed to add validity and a "story that's been passed along" kinda feel. Thanks for watching!

For all of you who make snide comments about her English, just try to speak Chinese. You'll sound a hell of a lot more stupid since you will struggle to get the tones right.

The magic Banyan tree was very sacred and could only take in clean water. As his wife, whom was being neglected by Cuoi urinated on the tree to make her point. It is a small legend that was the origin of the Moon Festival. Also the harvest that left parents worrying about their crops than their children was another reason for the origin. Most likely the story was changed as the Chinese started to copy the idea of the Moon Festival and adapt Vietnamese culture into Chinese.

"The real story"? You're joking right? As if any of these stories actually make sense. Magic pee that makes trees fly and a planet somehow circling ten stars. If anything it shows the ignorance of our ancestors. At least they were creative though, right?

Actually Moon Festival is Vietnamese. The real story goes that the legend of Cuội and the banyan tree. The banyan tree helped to cure medicine and Cuội told his wife to water the tree everyday. Seeing as Cuội cared more for the tree than his wife, she got angry and urinated on it. The tree then flew up to the moon along with Cuội. Every year, on the mid-autumn festival, children light lanterns and participate in a procession to show Cuội the way to Earth.

Cut the crap about her accent, please ! Those who have no hearing problems will understand all she is saying, and those who want to hear it. Let's do it this way, you all go to China, and try learning chinese there. I bet your accent will be far worse than that. In fact, when i watch videos of some"laowai" speaking mandarin, it is very ewwwww
