When I play with my dog, she also growls in a happy way.

My female rott does EXACTLY the same thing. At first it scared the crap out of me, lol. Sounds SO mean, but when you pull away they push their head in for more.

Christ, that's scary.. I wouldn't put my head anywhere near that dog's mouth hahah, but when you backed up he pushed himself into your neck area, cute dog, but a bit scary.
