A huge favorite-very inspiring. Especially lines like - "Is that a man?" "You're damn right it is!" & the last line-"...the best pilot anyone had ever seen." What I love most is something not mentioned often. It's almost a comedy-a lot of dry humor. Like Gus (real name Ivan - OK you can be Gus) & We are the monkey & the whole testing sequence with the enemas & Jose Jimenez & the peeing in the suit"you're a wetback now"-I could go on and on. After several viewings you start to see LOTS of comedy.

One of my all time favorite films. I can still remember my father bringing this film home and the four of us sat in the dark in the basement and were just mesmerized by it. My father gave us a running commentary about what was true and what was exaggerated. He paused the film and pointed out the bartender played by Chuck Yeager. I still get
