ED - September 10th 2009 (Episode 1 Part 2)

Carl (Tom Lister) makes another hint to Chas (Lucy Pargeter) in front of Paddy (Dominic Brunt) that she needs to tell him the truth and she starts to think he has a point - she cant continue living in fear that hes going to find out. Katie (Sammy Winward) warns her that her whole life is at risk and to think long and hard before she makes any rash decisions about leaving Paddy, but Chas cant see any other options, she feels wretched for betraying his trust and cant live with herself. Meanwhile, Paddy is on his way to the cricket match when Carl stops him and tells him they need to have a serious chat in private. Paddy knows whats coming and tries to laugh it off when Carl tells him Chas doesnt want to be with him, but is crushed when Carl drops the bombshell that they slept together. Will Paddy ever forgive Chas? Will Chas ever forgive Carl for going behind her back and telling Paddy?

Elsewhere, Bob (Tony Audenshaw) is still trying his best to keep Gennie (Sian Reese Williams) and Jamie (Alex Carter) apart. She admits to Viv (Deena Payne) and Brenda (Lesley Dunlop) that shed like Jamie to be more than a friend and Bob is disconcerted when he overhears her telling the women that theyve already shared a charged moment at Katies party. Will Bob tell his son about his secret fling with Gennie?

Michael (Jamie Belman) arrives in the village and spends an afternoon in bed with Debbie (Charley Webb) at Tug Ghyll. However, when Cain arrives home, Debbies terrified. Will Cain catch Michael?

Also, its the day of the cricket match and Ashley (John Middleton) is tense. Meanwhile, Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy) is on the opposing team and shes irritated to see Ashley and Sally (Sian Reeves) getting so close.

At the pub, its Marlons (Mark Charnock) day off and he has left Moira (Natalie J Robb) a menu plan to stick to, but she disregards it and adds in her pies which go down a treat with the locals. How will Marlon react to the new additions to his menu?
