    The soloists in order are: Ellington (piano), Hodges (alto sax), Carney (bari sax) and Hodges, Brown (trombone), Carney & Hodges, Ellington, Bigard (clarinet), Brown.

  • This March 3 recording by the Duke and His Orchestra went rapidly to number one in the third week of April 1938.
