Watching this video showed me you can't always trust in what a person may say about a piece of gear. Which is good news. I don't know about many pieces of gear but I do know this one. That tells me that its something wrong with the user.
I've been using the emu card since the 1820m and never had one problem with it other than the ones I created by not applying myself with it

i HAVE ONE OF THESE AND PATCHMIX DOESN'T WORK WITH 64BIT WINDOWS. UGH. AND MY XP PC DOESN'T HAVE ENOUGH RAM FOR AUDIO. LIFE IS A BITCH, AIN'T IT?

meh.. video quality is not that good, maybe next time you can do without the music stuff.. all in all, not a bad video once you start explaining stuff..

ive godda admit i really enjoyed this video, it is always better watching someone recieve something awesome.
I do have a question though, as a noob im pretty sure theres no usb connection to the soundcard or box so do you just plug you synth into any usb without sound loss issues?

EMU 1616m is a piece of shit. Doesn't even work with Cubase5. And it is extremely user UNFRIENDLY.
Fuck you E-MU for wasting my time and money.

LAME MUSIC DUB--NOT COOL--POOR LIGHTING QUALITY--ALSO NOT COOL! WHY BOTHER IF THIS IS THE BEST YOU CAN DO?
hi! can you use it as a mixer and link directly to an amp??

It wouldn't be a good replacement for a mixer. You could go out from it to an amplified soundsystem. Alesis makes a nice inexpensive mixer that you can use as a regular mixer and also connect it via usb to your computer to record. It costs about $150

Oh no! Another 9 minute demo! Demos should be made like you're paying $100,00 a minute to show them. Short and concise. I don't need to see the box being opened. I'm gone after one minute.

*Points to title* It's not a demoing of the unit. It's an UnBoxing with some comments just so you get to see what it's like if you buy one. Except this way you don't have to buy it without knowing what you get, because you saw this video. :)
