Amtrak#19 meets Amtrak#20 11-1-09

Amtrak Crescent#19 meets Amtrak#20 in Downtown Bessemer, AL. I have always wanted to catch them passing, glad Amtrak#19 was late today. Also both had B32W-8 engines as the 2nd unit. Big-Moe was on AMTK#19 he barely saw me as they flew by, and gave a couple of toots. Amtrak#20 went slow because they were passing AMTK#19. AMTAK#19 P42dc 118 & B32 514 again & AMTK#20 P42dc engine 73 & B32 513.

we took 19 to NOL last Thursday, 3 hours late so passed 20 in Birmingham. Came back on 20 on Sunday, and passed 19 near Meridian. in the morning while having breakfast. How did 19 get that far south so early , or was that 19 from Saturday running way late ?

I was out that day, both were late, well 20 was on time got held up in irondale. Cool, 19 is usually on time Sundays but shouldnt have been 19 in MS in the morning! unless they got late again, 19 usually gets to Meridian between 3 & 330.
