@bizzman22 True-but you can only be best of your era. Faldo would be a world beater if he played today. He'd have better club, ball, video and training technology that would make him compete just as well

Nonsense. You have no idea what you're talking about. The reason Tiger is so incomparable to the rest of the players today is not because he is bigger, faster or stronger, but because he has an incredible touch around the green and a ridiculous ability to perform under pressure.
The majority of current golfers are actually not that outstanding, but are helped hugely by technology. Give Hogan, Nelson, Snead or Nicklaus in their prime a go with today's equipment and they would be winning stuff.

Tiger maybe has not got past jack nicholas yet but in the time he has been playing he is ahead of jack on wins in all tournaments. He won the us open with a messed up knee and if he even wins one major a year which if fit is more than likely the way his career has gone he will still equal jacks record in less time than jack did it in. And with regards to Faldo and greg norman etc well great players but none of them could putt as well as tiger because when tiger needs to hole a putt he does it.

I _have_ seen quotes from some of the all-time greats who've said they've never seen anybody hit the ball better when he's on, or who say he's clearly the best now or the best of his generation. But I'm talking about whether a lot of these guys have called him the best ever.
