This is Johnny's first of twenty-one tunes on his CD album "The Fields of France"
At the grand age of twenty-two, Johnny, the son of a "customs man" headed off busking his fiddle in 1981 - from Denmark to Rome and everywhere between - with a band called "The Morning Cure".
He settled in Antwerp, Belgium with intermittent travel bursts to the USA till 1989, played with guitarist Greg Farqhal for several years, recorded with Bernie Smyth, and returned to Clonakilty, West Cork, where he is still often visited by his Finnish manager Mirja Larjanko.
-----
Recorded over 4 days in the 2nd week of 2011 at the Boardwalk Studio, with occasional passing aircraft, and wives chattering, at El Medano, Tenerife, by Tony Duncan, who writes: "To listen to his music is to listen to the beating heart of Ireland."
-----
Post-processed by Alan Mansfield of MyWay Studios, Ramsgate, UK - who "put the butter on".
