"He had seven hundred wives of royal birth and three hundred concubines, and his wives led him astray"
-1Kings 11:3

------------------------------------------------------------------------
......................................... F A Q .........................................
------------------------------------------------------------------------
These Q&A's cover almost all the rebuttals brought in comments & the text-"video" response.

Q1. How can you say that a man can be one in the flesh with several women?
A. I said in the video that the verse was related to divorce. But if you insist, then according to John 17:21, many men can be "in Jesus"

Q2. I didn't ask you about men & Jesus, moron. I asked you abo..
A. Shh Sh okay okay. According to 1Corinthians 11:3, "the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God". You see it's all relative: If you're in a lower status, many of your type can be one with the higher.

Q3. Doesn't Genesis 2:24, repeated in Matthew 19:5, prove that God's plan was only one woman for every man?
A. Darn it! I answered that twice above, but if you STILL insist, then why did the OT put legislation for polygamy? For example:
"If he marries another woman, he must not deprive the first one of her food, clothing and marital rights"? (Exodus 21:10).

Q4. Why's the word "wife" always used in the bible instead of "wives" if polygamy is allowed?
A. Statistically, polygamy cannot be the rule; it's always the exception. Even a polygamy-endorser such as myself would use "wife" if he/she wanted to speak about matrimonial relationships. Also, Abolishing such a major age-old law by Jesus requires an explicit, crystal clear declaration.

Q5. 1Timothy traits appear to apply for every believer not just bishops.
A. Oh so every believer needs to be a good teacher & refrains from alcohol? That's news to me.

Q6. Is it true that a man can avoid marrying his brother's widow (if he's married) according to Deu 25:7?
A. Um, do me a favor and read the very next 3 verses.

Q7. You mentioned gays in your video. What about lesbians?
A. There are more gays than lesbians. But the bottom-line is that there are less men rich enough to get married than women healthy enough to get married.

Q8. You're a dirty ol' Muslim who wants sex slaves because you view women as objects.. etc
A. Dude, women who engage in polygamous relationships AGREE to it just like men do. You wouldn't have minded if the guy slept with 10 girls without marriage. Get a life.

Q9. I'm a feminist freak, I care about women rights.
A. So do we! Under strict monogamy, some women would end up being prostitutes because they have no source of income. Are you sure you want this to happen?

Q10. What're those bubbly things in the middle of the video? Looks like you're trying to hide something!
A. Communist censorship. Just pretend you never noticed.

  • The cases in the old testament of polygamy areout of man's sin not God's divine plan. Teke abraham and sarah for example. They were impatient so abraham took another wife and had ishmael before he had issac with his 1st wife. From that we got the fathers of two nation which continue to fight to this day in the middle east. You will find that the other cases (if you atually bother to read them) all result from sin all well, like jacob being tricked into marrying two sister because labans sin

  • That's ridiculous. So there aren't any bad people or bad conflicts in the Western world since monogamy is in effect? That's like.. the most thoughtless comment I've read in quite a bit on here.

And even if that was true, it doesn't prove anything about the Bible forbidding polygamy.

  • well your right about the apostle that he instructed the shepherds to and assistants to have only one wife and yes they should be examples. But why then didnt he just address them exclusicely in all commandments. No my friend he´s just talking about them. He also says that deacons have to be able to control their own family to fulfill duty. That doesnt apply for other believers as well does it.

Yes man will leave family. Again there is no word mentioning only one woman. remember prophet jakov

  • All I can say is MashAllah.. finally someone who can prove our point! :]

  • It is a vicious cycle here. All the three major monotheistic religions accuse one another. These religions were man-made, and everything that is man-made is imperfect.

  • Haha Fail! That was in the Old testament. It was for Jewish people. When Jesus came he fulfilled the old law, so it's not applicable anymore. Jesus said that the divorce is also not allowed.

    Matthew 19:8-9

8 Jesus replied, "Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because your hearts were hard. But it was not this way from the beginning.

9 I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, and marries another woman commits adultery."

  • a man will leave his mother and father to become one with his wife, which was said by a man i believe to be inspired by GOD, because man says it's legal, to have multiple partners, doesnt mean GOD approves of it, it's not out of love one has multiple partners it is out of the sinful carnal desires in your heart! plus how many more references there are in the bible to one spouse, like how is there even a miscontruing of christianity and polygamy!

  • @naitdog1 yeah and by adultery it means that having sex outside of marriages. so what is your point.

  • do any of you people actually study the bible and pray to GOD/Jesus for guidance, false prophets and teachers, i noticed you spoke about what christ said about divorce, but chose to leave out that divorce is accepted by GOD if a spose has been unfaithful and commited adultery against their spouse, you false teachers and perverts of the word, GOd havemercy on you. People read the word and pray to GOD FOR YOURSELF, stop seeking man on answers to things they cannot comprehend.

  • 1:55 Is that your image of a Jew?

  • Bible and Isam = Fairy Tales

  • @matteojrini And Christians will always attack Muslims by calling them all terrorists.

btw, it shouldn't have *ever been* the law. I would never worship a "god" that killed a bunch of Egyptian babies(I'd rather live as a slave then let that happen), not only that but he ordered the killing of gays just because they love the same sex, putting it on the same level of "offense" as murder, rape, and kidnapping. I'm glad I don't worship a "god" like that. He's pretty disgusting.

  • @speciesofjael my point too, the muslims will always attack christianity by referencing the old testement only.

  • jesus renewed the Marrage terms in the new testiment, many old testiment laws were renewed by jesus, you must understand that.
