I've been trying to learn to appreciate your free improvisation, atonal, highbrow approach to music; I honestly have. I swear. But at this time of night and in the mood I'm in, all I have to say is: Max Ridgway, strap on that Statocaster, plug it into that Marshall amp, play me some "Voodoo Chile (Slight Return)," and crank it up to 11.

very dense, but never gabby. like the discreet (in the sense of "umsichtige") kind of playing. I think, this is not (only) a strategy, but (also) a part of your personality...?

@dieterammann4 Yes, I think you are right. I think my personality is an intimate part of playing this way. My only real strategy is to try to respond intelligently to these fabulous players. (It's a little intimidating). Thank you for taking time to watch these - I didn't expect you to so soon!

Really like the expensive chords you were fretting while the boys were going off! You were a little drowned out with the heat of the moment but could pick out your playing most of the time. While I was listening to this my daughter, Harmony said "Daddy, how come you always listen to that? It sounds terrible!" Ha! That is a compliment btw. I dig this stuff! (In small doses) Gotta have the Voodoo Chile most of the time. Compliments to all.

@experimentalrock Thanks - I'm so glad you were listening to my guitar playing on this. It's a real challenge for me to fit in with these virtuosic wind players. The guitar is so different in timbre and technique - it really makes me listen and think about how to respond. I'm with you and Euterpe on Voodoo Chile - I like to play that too!

Well, damn, I messed up my joke. I meant Stratocaster obviously. And it's not a joke so much as me trying to be amusing and feeling a little nostalgic.

@Euterpe420 I knew what you meant and I appreciate the sentiment. I've still got the stratocaster, but unfortunately don't have the Marshall amp any more.
