Discrimination and intolerance has nothing to do with any single topic like race. Its about harassing or obstructing some ones "Pursuit of happiness" for arbitrary reasons that have nothing to do with you.
Like: WTF does gays getting married or gays living their life style have anything to do with you? And if you can't answer this question honestly, then what right do you have to obstruct their pursuit of happiness?
It is for this reason, half the people in the comments are complete ideas!

OK, settle the issue of LGBT by referencing how being overweight is just as much a choice! If there's any kind of valid argument against an individuals sexuality influencing society, then there is every bit as much to be argued about obese people impacting the minds of children to tell them it's OK to be obese.
There are many other superficial things to add to the pot of influences kids will pick up on, all just as damaging as the next.
A lot of the hate-mongers need to wise up!

People who protest against anti-discrimination of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered, and transsexual individuals are true bigots (great example given by DavidLynch007). If you think the LGBT community are a bunch of ignorant bigots for wanting the same rights as everyone else, then how could you even consider yourself an American? In the pledge of allegiance, it says "Liberty and Justice for all." Not just for some, but for EVERY citizen of the country.
