Excellent tutorial! It would be great to see a cover of this song just to put all the pieces in order.........dont get me wrong, this video is more than sufficient :D
One of the best videos of this song on the net!
BTW, that guitar sounds very rich and well balanced.
Good Job :D

your sound hole cover is super distracting, not in a bad way though
-
how long have you played? :) or had played when you made this vid. nice job!
-
wow. how in the world are you able to pic out differences in how he plays from different recordings? that's just mind blowing to me

Good overview of the song. BTW Nice woody sounding acoustic you got!

how can i train to find it easier to learn songs by myself, it works with most , but since a while im stuck. i mean this bridge from middle to hard songs. i cant figure the hard ones out, and there are so many version of each. ah and one question, is mayer using a pick ( he often uses both in songs,, so maybe he switches fast here...

did you learn how to play guitar by yourself, or did you do classes?
how did you first learn this song?

@allbranbuds I learn everything by ear, and from watching performances of whoever does the song. Random youtube videos of live performances of John playing it, and just paying close attention.

What guitar is that? I must own one!

@MeanStreet1981 It's a Taylor 214. I also have a review of it that I did on my channel, as well as the pickup system that I put in it.

@kellogs62091 I like that suggestion! Which would be better, a cover or a tutorial?
