@AlbertX78 I never expected to meet him and was surprised when I did. Got to see him do his set then shake his hand backstage, told him I had lots of respect for what he does, then got his signature. Best day ever, will never forget it.

Whole point of this music scene was that the people who made these kind of tunes were ordinary guys in their bedrooms and that's what Richard is. Just like any other fairly introverted British guy. Just 'cos his music's mental out-there stuff doesn't mean he's gonna act the same. and if the conversations a bit stilted, well, what conversation between strangers isn't? go figure. And the hair? The dude's in his 30's and I as found you just can't have long hair forever. It's called getting older.

@montrealmanu True true. He's just a guy when it comes down to, who is also a musical genius. As for the hair, well he's growing it back out again if you look at some of his most recent videos or photographs from live shows.

@montrealmanu Sounds about right, he does have that 'don't give a fuck' attitude when it comes to shows. Great story, thanks for sharing! When he opened for Bjork in 2003 he played insane noise, pissed the audience off, & was behind the curtain out of sight. I would be pissed a bit if going to see him, but it's about the music anyways, heard what he played was brutal at that show! Wish there was a recording of it out... it's weird to hear these stories and then see him act like this in person!
