Nah and Em needed some extra credit for their Pre-Calc class.

We didn't want to each write our paper on some nerdy math guy....so we made a video on one instead!

Sorry about the bad quality, we worked with what we had.

Enjoy!

  • Girls are right. Brahmagupta said number divided by zero is number. Today we say its undefined. Not much progress in that either

  • Here is the Brahmagupta quadratic formula

"“To the absolute number multiplied by four times the [coefficient of the] square, add the square of the [coefficient of the] middle term; the square root of the same, less the [coefficient of the] middle term, being divided by twice the [coefficient of the] square is the value”.

Brahmagupta: Brahmasphutasiddhanta (Henry Thomas Colebrooke translation, 1817, page 346)

    ax2 + bx + c = 0

    absolute number = c

  • Girls....Great video but little inaccurate. Brahmagupta did not divide the quadratic into three equations. Brahmagupta gave one general formula for the quadratic.

  • i doubt brahmagupta talked like that. he was a north indian, and ur accent is of a south indian. i think if u could go through the pain of finding out about a forgotten mathematician the least u could do is present it properly fucking whore
