vibrates) (sees its a text message)

Text Message From Danny,

Please Demi text me back I know youre alive. I can feel it in my heart. Please Demi I need to know if
youre alright. I cant take it feeling that youre gone. Please. Danny.

*Demis Pov.*

I stared at it. I couldnt believe it. I missed him so bad and it hurt me more that he was so worried. I
wanted to text him or call him back so badly. I could feel my eyes water but I had to control them I
couldnt let anyone see me crying it would cause too much attention. I bumped into someone and fell. I
closed my cell phone so then no one could read it while I was on the ground.

?: Watch where youre going.

Kristie(D):(gets up and starts wiping her pants and hasnt looked at the person) Dang, Im sorry but
you dont have to be rude about it. The least you could do is ask if I am okay.

?: WhatevWait youre the new girl. Im sorry about that. I didnt mean to hurt my dance partner.

*Demis Pov.*

When he said that last part I looked up instantly. It was Joe. He was grinning at me. I rolled my eyes.

Me:(speaking quickly as I walk around him) I do have a name and its not new girl.

Joe:(follows) Whoa. Your feisty you know that.

I quickened my pace finally reaching my car. I was about to open my door when he stopped me. He
looked at me with a frown.

Joe: Why wont you look at me when I am talking to you?

Kristie(D):(sarcastically) Wow your manners are as great as your girlfriends.(trys opening the door
again)

Joe:(holds it firmly shut)

Kristie(D):(glares at him)

Joe: Listen, since youre the new girl I thinks it my obligation to take you out to dinner so what do you
say.

*Demis Pov.*

I stared at in astonishment. What did I look like to him? Some kind of doll that was his or something.
He was a stupid player and he just played the wrong move.

Me: My answer is no. If that is too hard for you to understand go ask your girlfriend Taylor. She just
found out today what it means.

He looked at me shocked. I glared at him and tried opening my car door again but he held it firmly
shut. His face went from shock to confusion. He studied me as if trying to see what I was thinking. I
just kept glaring at him. I didnt want to waste any more time with this boy.

Joe: You know youre the first girl to say no.

Me: I am the first girl that has done a lot of things in this school.

Joe:(looks at me sadly) Why wont you give me a chance?(then his eyes to anger)Its Nick isnt it. He
asked you before I did. Or has he told you something about me because whatever he said about me. I
promise there all lies.
