I play guitar. I used to sing but then when I got chronic sinusitis and started taking inhaled steroids for it to prevent the bad headaches, it kind of all ruined my singing voice so I kinda hate the way I sound now.

I almost couldn't believe. I had felt so bad about losing touch with her, but the more time that passed, the more afraid I was to call. It had been months. I mean when we stopped talking, we were already on a just friends basis, but now seeing her, I was rushed with a whole set of emotions. She was one of only 2 people who have ever been able to make me feel this way. Her and Hayley. Unfortunately, I would have to decide. But that was a later decision.
I must have been in a trance and stopped listening to my friend, Christian, and I'm pretty sure I stopped walking. Either way, I suddenly heard Chris saying, "Hello? Kevin?" He followed my gaze and saw her. "Oh Danielle Deleasa. I hear she's still single."
"Really?"
"Yeah, you should go over there."
"Oh I don't know if..."
"Okay, in the interest of time, we're gonna skip the whole you telling me why you're too chicken to talk to her and my telling you whatever you're afraid of is no big deal and the whole 'you're a great guy' thing and all the egging on and coaching. Instead, I'm just gonna do this. Danielle?!" he called loudly.
She looked over and smiled a little. She started walking over. I tried to smile even though I was flipping out.
"Good luck, man. I'll meet you back at the car." And he ran off.
"Wait Christian... ugh." I turned back to see Danielle was right in front of me.
She laughed a little. "Hey."
"Hey. Sorry about Christian, he's just a little... I don't even know."
She laughed again. "Still got that innocent humor, huh?"
"It appears so."
"So how are you?"
"I'm pretty good, and yourself? How are things going?"
"Good, pretty normal, pretty boring. Nothing nearly as noteworthy as what you're up to."
"Trust me, there are days when you're so tired, you don't even know what state you're in, let alone what city, you don't know the date or the day of the week, you've eaten nothing but Hot Pockets and Poptarts, you've slept in a different bed every night and showered in a different shower every day, when you wish more than anything for the normal and boring."
"I can imagine it's rough."
"Yeah, but it's fun too."
"That's good that you're still enjoying it."
"Listen, I'm sorry I've lost touch. Things have gotten so crazy."
"It's okay. The new album turned out great by the way."
"Thanks."
"And gotta say. seeing you guys as cherubs, best 10 dollars I've ever spent." [a/n okay so in NYC I think we're up to like 12 dollars and down at school I can see a movie for like 7, so I don't know how much a movie is where you live or in NJ but play along. it's not all practical anyway haha]
"Okay," I said or more like moaned as she laughed.
"So you're playing Izod tonight, huh?"
"Yeah, tonight and tomorrow night. Are you coming?" I asked rather excitedly.
"Are you kidding? It was easier to get inauguration tickets than tickets to your shows around here. I mean, I love you guys but not enough to beat out your crazy fans who sleep on the street or form teams to do it online and know all the little secrets and tricks." [A/N no offense, cause one of those fans is kinda me.]
I laughed. "I see. Well, I may not know what those girls know, but I may know someone who could get you some tickets if you're interested."
"Oh my God, no way!" she said, fake-astonished.
I laughed again. "Anyway, don't feel like you have to but if you want, there are tickets."
