Just a quick demo of Live Android, To make this work use these instructions:
Ok, so i get bored pretty frequently so one day i decided i was going to try and run Android on my computer. Since Android is open source software i can post links to it on these forums. and i'm sure you'd all like to mess around with it a bit.

When i first read that Android will be offered on some netbooks in the future i wanted to know if i could run it on my computer, so i did a little research and found that i could actually run a somewhat-operational version on the computer via a Live CD.

The ISO can be downloaded here:
http://www.peterdaugherty.com/liveandroidv0.2.iso
you can download VirtualBox here:
http://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads
To run android in VB you'll first have to set up the virtual machine, so click New.
Click Next when the New Virtual Machine wizard stats up.
In name type whatever you want, I prefer Android. lol
Under OS type select "other" for the Operating sytem and "Other/Unknown" as the version
I recommend using 300 mb Base Memory
Do not use less than 200 mb
then i recommend just using the default settings and continue clicking next until the New Virtual Machine wizard closes.
next thing you'll have to mount the ISO
to do so, click on the virtual machine you just created and select settings then select the CD/DVD ROM tab and click the box that says Mount CD/DVD Drive and select ISO Image file. Then click the button next to the drop menu and click ADD on the box that pops up "The Virtual Media Manager" then just select the ISO image you downloaded and you're good to go.

APP INSTALLATION
To Install apps use this guide: http://code.google.com/p/live-android/wiki/howtoinstallapps

  • Ah man kn100kn100. That's so damn cool wish I could get rid of my Windows Vista and replace it with Android.

  • Ah man you wouldn't want to, it's not really suited as a PC os thanks to the lack of multitasking :P

  • what program did ou use to record that and does it run on windows?

  • I used recordmydesktop (its in the repos). It doesn't run in windows, but I recommend hypercam for windows :)
