A short review and comparison of 3 lights. Energizer Hard Case, Ultrafire C3, and MTE C3-907. All lights use AA batteries. The energizer uses 2 AA batteries, whereas the C3 and C3-907 use a single AA. The Ultrafire C3 can use the 14500 batteries for higher output, but are STILL not as bright as the MTE C3-907 and the batteries do not last as long.

My recommendation is to go to www.mte-usa.com and buy from Greg McGee. Do not waste your money on buying lights from deal extreme. 10/10 for build quality and customer service. Greg's got it going on and I feel very comfortable vouching for his products and services. Check him out if you are in the market, at www.mte-usa.com.

  • @EVERYDAYDON Thanks, I may try that. But ultimately I would rather buy from MTE from now on. I consider it a mistake to have ever bought the cheap lights from DX. Live and learn.

  • I had a similar problem with my C3 5 mode flashlight where the switch wouldn't work or flickered . I unscrew the tailcap switch and took grinder and hit the threads removing the black anodiz making a better connection. This seemed to correct the problem If you remove the tail cap took a paperclip and shorted the (neg) side of the battery to the case bypassing the switch and the flashlight operates normally, then this procedure should fix the problem, as it diid for me.

    Hope this helps.
