@InvestigatorDave - I kind of thought that would go over your head. Why am I unsurprised? "Ooooh, if you're going to get nuanced on me, don't reply." Sorry, bucko, but this isn't a 2+2 question, as much as you may need a juvenile and simplistic world view to cope. Since you can only handle binary answers, I'd suggest you avoid asking non-binary questions. You're only going to get frustrated with concepts that may not fit neatly into your tiny black&white world..
@47f0 Cursing, insults, name calling -- the trifecta. You must have had a very difficult time with True/False tests in school. If you find it possible to answer my simple question, please reply. Otherwise there is no need for us to continue here.
@InvestigatorDave - Yeah. See, that's the problem with this country. Dim fuckwits who think everything is binary, everything is Yes/No. "You're either with us, or you're with the terrists[sic]." There are patriots in the DOD who would lay down their lives for Mom and apple pie. There are inner city kids who simply couldn't find other employment. There are even South-Central LA gang bangers who were sent to the military to learn military tactics to bring back home to the gang. Pick one, skippy..
@InvestigatorDave - Clarification? As a parent of an Army soldier, it's fascinating to me how many people who've taken a government check - then feel that they owe that government and the society that at one time paid them absolutely nothing. There are societal advantages to having a military. There are also societal advantages to keeping unemployed mothers off the street. Vets who don't realize they were defending ALL Americans then brag about just having a job don't impress me much at all.
@47f0 I happened to see the exchange between you and incirlik1. I just wanted clarification on one thing I read from you: are you calling those who serve in the United States military "Leeches that I support with my tax dollars"?
@47f0 Please. The 'reform' is so weak it might as well not exist. Banks are still leveraged to the moon. The only thing he's really done right is kill Bin Laden and a few other bad guys. The rest of it has been rolling over like a dog for Rethugs.
@Asymmatrix - Yeah right. We essentially still have American cars thanks to Obama. He's actually gone after terrorists where they are (hint: not Iraq). Ended no-bid defense contracts. America Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Consumer Credit Reform. Expanded SCHIP. Stem-cell research. 1st-time homeowners credit. Nuclear non-proliferation. Green tax credits and incentives. Removed banks from student loans. Lilly Ledbetter act.
.
Sheesh. You'd bitch about the wrapping paper if I gave you a diamond.
@incirlik1 - "I served my country for four years in the USAF."
.
Yep. What I thought. One of those leeches that I support with my tax dollars. You had no problem taking that government check, did you? Sheesh. Do you even think before you post, or do you just fantasize about all those lovely cow udders? Oooohh, you did some work and paid into your retirement. Wow. You get a gold star. Most of us did that, twit. You sound like some baby's daddy who's bragging about buying his kid diapers.
@incirlik1 Since 47 doesn't have the wherewithall to do so, let me first say thank for your service, and congratulations on your success.

@47f0 Still not clear.
This is a Yes/No question: "Are you calling those who serve in the United States military 'Leeches that I support with my tax dollars'?"
