  • The army of Almokhtar was an Arab army. Almokhtar was an Arab, too. My great grandfather Ibrahim Ibn Al Ashtar was an Arab, too.

  • @3iraqi88

Yes I know Mokhtar was an Arab but he did his uprising by the help of Iranians in Kufa, Iranians were the only force he could rely on when Iraqi Arabs became soft when they got bribed by his enemies. Kiyan had a huge army of Persians who were Shia's in his command helping Mokhtar.

  • Usually the persians would have won, but specificly in that battle Abo Omreh was ordered to attack without his riders. Thus when the battle began, even though the persians caused more damage, they were soon encircled and so began their destruction. A partial amount of the division was able to retreat. however the persian muslim army could never recover, especially with the martydom of kiyan

  • @BabylonRenaissance Yes and that is a very sad part, as they were deliberately ordered to get off their horses and fight the enemy on foot, by the traitors to mokhtar whom he left the army to, however Mokhtar wanted to give the command of the army to Kiyan himself but he refused (he should not have done that), but history is full of events that breaks your heart.

  • Please do not title such things as a Shia vs. Sunni. We are all muslim! Although these things have occurred in the past, and are saddening, we should not go around claiming diversion between in Islam.

Please, for the sake of Allah!

  • @JiyanTV Although I support Shia Sunni unity, but history is history my friend, at the same time I can see your point
