The songs from this movie. Take me back to the 70's. Awkward teen years, for a skinny black kid living in the city projects. Who felt he didn't belong in such ugly bleak surroundings. I bought barbra Streisand records and listened in secret. But these songs mark a turning point in my life when I made the decision to take my life in a different direction rather than being a product of my inviroment. I've loved Ms Streisand through out those awful years and her music is still a part of my life .

I used to listen to this song in the 70s when she recorded an album called Superman. I used to sing along with it at the top of my lungs and wish I could be a star!

Hahahahah,I just love how,at the end there,she grabs the mic' seemingly with the intention of trying to diffuse the situation but instead she just gives that resigned shrug & walks off,lol! Just a glimpse of that quintessential Streisand comedic actress showing through! Absolutely adore this film.

I fell in love with Barbra after I got sick of hearing her name on The Nanny, and I looked her up. My sixteenth birthday this year was all Streisand. I follow everything she's ever done.
