The trailer for the upcoming Miramax release, "The Queen," by Stephen Frears, which will open this year's New York Film Festival. Helen Mirren stars in the lead role and the film is described as "an intimate, frankly revealing and often acidly funny portrait of the British royal family during the dramatic days after the death of Princess Diana."

@Malibuthunder Even after losing her title,people still loved her & they wanted her to have just some appreciation coz nobody can deny that she did a lot when she was alive & she was a part of that family for over a decade so being divorced from Charles doesn't mean they have to ignore her like she wasn't part of them for many years or like they've never known her or something..plus she's the mother of the future king so,somehow she was still related to them.

Whilst a good effort it has now common knowledge that Her Majesty insisted on the Princess returning on the Queens Flight & that the funeral should be a public affair, so I don't see the point in perpetuating the hurtful lie that she acted any differently.

Wonderful movie, loved it ! Helen Mirren's acting is astounding, and I loved Blair's representation in the movie.
