@xevildragon5 they don't know if the vikings had gloves. these where never found and as they had them they probbably would cover it with thick leather.

@AweNayder not dangerous at all? are you mad. there are nasty hitzones, people make wrong moves sometimes and getting a pointy spearhead on your spine an be realy dangerous even if the weapons are blunt.

That depends greatly to be honest saxons fayrmen were the lowest ranking infantry yet still had a helmet and shield fayrmen with a bit of cash had enougth for mail

@meNtor890 They used mail, and that's about it. They used lamallier made of leather in the later years (about 1300's) and leather gauntlets. I don't think they used mail on the gloves. They had metal helmets with mail curtains. But remember, armor was for the rich people. About 1 or 2 people out of 100 actually had any armor. If they were lucky they got a helmet.
