I am 42 and got vitiligo at the age of 35, it started with a small spot on my chin that kept spreading, I went to the dermatologist not knowing what it was. The Doc gave me some creams to apply and they worked in the beginning. Then it started on my fingers clost to my nails and did not work there. Nothing works now and the first few years were devestating, I have embraced it now but it is something that is emotionally draining. I wish there was more awareness. You are a strong beautiful girl.

i think i have it i have 2 white spots on my leg and arm my mom thinks im making it up but this girl in my school has it and i told her about it and she said yu wanna be white and i like being blackk blaaah sorry im raintin on justt help

i feel your pain i dont have viligo i have eczema whitch i guess is the opposite of vitiligo my skinn itches and turnes to black patches on my arms my legs everything its gotten really bad lately and people look at me diff becuz of my eczema and i always wanted to connect of somone with a skin condition but u r beatifull no matter what:)

THANKS FOR SHARING! There are so many ignorant ppl in the world and you are very brave for sharing your story! I also have vitiligo and my father has it too.. so believe me girl i know all the ups and downs! Kepp your head up and dont pay attention to any of the nonsense that some ppl sayin in their comments. :)

Hon, you should be more happy now. People are more discriminative towards blacks than those who have vitiligo. And you look just like another white girl and also very pretty. At least you're not black with white spots on your face, that's hard because you have to cover them everyday. You're all white.
