In my opinion Suikoden 5 has the best ending, while Suikoden 2 has the best plot and villian (Luca Blight), Suikoden 1 was very well rounded, while Suikoden 4 was only moderate, and Suikoden 3 was utterly terrible.

I love how Suikoden series focus so much on the value of family. The warm family that Tir had in Suikoden I, the Genakaku/Nanami/Jowy family in 2, the Karayan chief's family that Hugo had, and of course, the warmest and coolest Falenan Royal Family. Suikoden series may not be as dark or edgy as the FF series, but SK definitely has its own niche and its own set values. There's a certain warmth to the series and I want to see it continue. Best art, best music, best characters.
