The chic at the end's all "found it a bit too heavy", as she helped select the heaviest GTI to date....This car would be even better if VW understood the whole "less weight=better performance" concept.

Have owned every generation of GTIs. Mk1 was awesome, Mk2 with 16v engine was great (liked them so much I had 2) Mk3 was unimpressive, though VR6 engine was rather likable, Mk4 had an absolutely disgusting steering feel, glad that I got rid of that miserable thing (though otherwise a lovely car). Mk5 was sensational, as good as Mk6 was, I went back to the Mk5.

@stenehjem1 No, I just hate the MK5 design. The MK4 was much better. and the MK6 is nicer.
