I uploaded this ages ago but it seems to have vanished. This was my entry for the very first round at Stopmoshorts in 2004, using the keyword "shoe". It uses a liquid latex build-up puppet, styrofoam rocks, slushcast latex puppet shoes, and of course my actual shoe. I'm putting it up again because someone asked at stopmotionanimation.com about how to make removable shoes.
Here's hoping YouTube doesn't chop the end off like they do with most of my video uploads...

o7levi - I shoot on ones at 25 fps, since we use PAL video where I live (in Australia). Using a framegrabber (StopMotionPro) really helps to get the moves smoother.

Do you lock down your character with nuts and bolts to a peg board too? If so how do you hide all of those holes? Thats one thing I struggle with. I find it easier if I just get a peg board. I feel if I pre-plan my movements and then drill holes...Im afraid Id change my mind with where I want the holes to be. So thats why Ive been getting the peg board.
