Carrickfergus (Cover) - Gareth Bush

My high school choir (AB Lucas Secondary School in London, Ontario) sang this piece with a few other schools (Medway, Central, etc), so I made my own version of it on acoustic guitar. It eventually turned into this! I wanted to post it because I found it's much different than the other covers of it I have seen on youtube. Let me know what you think!

Gareth I live in the town and I really like your version of the ballad-why not have a background of some part of the town though?

When I hear this song I have this image of a coast by an ocean where the man would stand and long to cross it to meet his love interest. I'm sure the town would have been more appropriate, but I felt like this picture represented my take on it. Thanks for listening!

I actually really enjoy this. You have such a smooth, soothing voice. I really enjoyed the dubbing you did in the back ground. Just added to it even more. Overall, I think you did a wonderful job updating a classic and making it what you would hear now.

Well, I approve of many things here. Your main flaw is that there is the same emotional emphasis, line by line. So the "heart" of the piece" does not show. But, still, there is a lot I like about you, based upon this.
