Military surplus MEP-003A Onan/Libby Welding 10 KW continuous 15KW peak 208V 3 PH or 240V single phase generator. This is after a filter change, fluid change, and some replacement group 31 starting batteries. I used the pre-heat for just a second. This set had ran about 15 minutes prior to shooting this video. The set had ran for about 3 or 4 minutes then was turned off to check the oil level. The outside air ambient temperature was ~ 60 degrees fahrenheit. This set was recovered from a military laundry unit and has ~ 190 hours on it either since new or since last rebuild. It does not smoke on any cylinders if pre-heat is used per the manual. Oil pressure is good at 50 psi per the on board meter. I have a 24 V Solargizer installed to keep the batteries tended and to help with desulphation as well.
@stevoreno45 :
The MEP-003A generators are 60 Hz from the military. There are some variants of this style that are 400 Hz. The way to tell them apart from the 60 Hz versions in a photo is the reconnect switch cover has louvers cut into it on a 400 Hz version. That doesn't keep someone from switching the covers and/or the frequency meter on the set. The only way to be certain is to run the set with an external volt/frequency meter such as I did in the video.

FREAKIN SWEET MACHINE!! But I've seen other military gensets that put out 400htz. Did you have to modify your machine, or was it ready to go?
