Excellent video! Thanks!

Amazing demonstration you cleared a few things up for me. There r a lot of youtube videos showing how to shift with out using a clutch. Can this ruin your transmission?
-
so in other words when im shifting my gsx1100 use the clutch and dont wear the dogs out right? =) i heard some people say that without the clutch shifting on a bike is better for the transmission. Thats not true is it?

Easily the best and clearest explanation & demonstration of a constant mesh gearbox.

Well done and much appreciated, I had the same question as Lotusbentley, clearly answered, thanks.
My question is how you go from neutral to first gear if the gears (in neutral ) are consistently spinning without being connected to the output shaft (witch is not spinning . .2:58 How the lumps hit exactly the opening of the gear ?
Lotusbentley 1 year ago
@Lotusbentley hi, well wen you press the clutch the gears stop spinning but wen it stops the lumps don't always go directly into the slots on the gears but because the lumps are at an angle and that they are spring loaded they squeeze under the gear ready for wen you lift your foot of the clutch, the gear turns and then they fall into the slots, sorry i could not demonstrate that because i did not have enough leverage on the gear stick
