Stock 2006 impreza 2.5i with only an STi axleback. Exhaust has opened up some more now that I've had it on for a while. Sounds awesome IMO

  • i know this video is like 2 years old, but i'd like to get this for my 07 2.5i. Its basically just a welded on tip right? how much does it cost, and where can i get one?

  • @ImprezaCloud It's not a welded on tip at all. All it is is the exhaust part of a stock STi. It fits perfectly without any welding, the pipes are on the same size and it bolts up perfectly with what is already on there. I got mine on NASIOC from an STi owner who upgraded from his stock exhaust for like 50 or 75 bucks.

  • @peqy oh ok awesome sorry for the noob question. But 50 or 75 bucks is really reasonable and sounds great do you think i would be able to install this myself?

  • @ImprezaCloud

You definitely don't need to take it to a shop if that's what you're asking. It would be helpful to have an extra set of hands to hold the muffler up while you do the bolts though. Very easily done in less than 30 minutes

  • @peqy ok sweet i checked nasioc but i cant find one for sale is there anywhere else you would reccomend?

  • @ImprezaCloud Junkyard? I dunno, just keep checking NASIOC I guess. There's bound to be one sometime. I guess you could get one from Subaru Genuine Parts but it will probably cost you an asston

  • thats cheesy y dont u race a mustang cobra in that thing.

  • @peqy Yeah, i'd like to avoid buying from genuine parts, i learned that lesson the expensive way. yeah, guess i'll keep checking NASIOC. thanks for the advice

  • sounds dumb.

  • No, the axleback (muffler) that comes stock off an STi fits perfectly on a 2.5i. All I did was replace the gasket between the axleback and the midpipe.
