@BookRocky24 I know better than you, you need no passport just a travel permit (limited to Chinese citizens). And it is INDEED part of China, government and politics still heavily controlled by Beijing, no direct elections, only 50 years unchanged, after 50 years it will be intergrated into China should there is no "never unite"
I hope Hong Kong continues to forever to be a Special Administrative Region. Even though the status of a SAR, Hong Kong should never unite with China PRC.
@chinesekmt The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China is basically a region of China. It is not a country, however it is a region that has its' own Constitution aka the Hong Kong Basic Law. The Hong Kong Basic Law is separate from the Chinese Constitution, giving Hong Kong its' own Immigration, Postal System, Currency, and its Stock Exchange. FYI: You need a passport to get from China to Hong Kong. Hong Kong residents have their own passport. Separate from Chi
