This video is sick. It shows nothing of Opus Dei, and only what people perceive it to be, drawing from movies etc and very extreme images. It shows nothing of what St Josemaria taught.
Corporal mortification is a very ancient practice within the Church, and is only one small aspect of Opus Dei. Check out their website if you are actually interested to hear what they have to say for themselves.

This video is sick? That's Argumentum ad Hominem at its finest. Blame the truth-sayer and not the sickness he exposes. The things of the video are based on facts and those facts are indeed sick! When would anyone follow a man with a cross-gendered name who thought it the "Work of God" to whip one's self and cause discomfort to mimic the sufferings of Christ? That's as sick as wearing a murder instrument around one's neck to remember the murder of someone. Opus Dei is sick.

Watched your Cheny vid and then this one. Got to thinkin'... Which came first, the zuchetto/callote or the kippa/yarmulke? hmmm... interesting, no?

The better question is; what are either really worth as far as God's concerned?? And what came first, the images of Mary or the images of Artemis, Astarte, Diana or Ishtar? What came first, the "T" for Tammuz of Babylon or the "T" for the cross? What came first, the cakes for the Queen of Heaven or the hot-crossed buns? Interesting? Yes.

This stuff is just sick! After watching, I went looking for more Opus Dei videos and wanted to comment on the "positive" ones. Surprise, surprise...they censor all comments! Which only helps to proof your point.
