  • I doubt it was undercharged...put the panel back on the condenser compartment and the pressure will drop which in turn will lower suction pressure on a fixed metering device and therefore your superheat will drop...I just thought I would make that observation...I am on here trying to fix my ssx34 since the wires have broken solder

  • You are correct Rambonole. I had that in my script that having the panels off would effect the tests and that they were removed for demo purposes. It took me 30 tries to not completely fumble over my words. I plan on putting up a new version (with better sound too) sometime soon. Thanks for pointing that out.

  • Russ, Where do you put the wetbulb probe ? On the air filter ? On the evaporator ?

How wet do you have to get the sock ?

    Nice toll.

    Thanks

  • On the return side, right before the evaporator. Usually the filter is the most convenient place. Sometimes not so just try to get it within 18" of the evap. You don't want it in the evaporator.

  • Hey Russ Good deal Im also learning to use the guide.. And im Satisfied with the HVAC Guide and all products i have from Yall... Keep up good work...

  • I think this is a great tool to have if you have been in the trade a while. The downside to this technology is that apprentices never learn the old school way. The basics are not getting passed down.

  • YAH HOW MUCH DOES IT COST

  • can you post one of the print outs from a job.

  • You are right that nothing will replace good old know how. But with the printouts and the explanation you can use it as a sales too as well as a service tool. People love getting proof that the job was done correctly.
