Activity Title: Guessing the words

Skills used: Listening & Speaking

Materials: Colored papers, a box

Preparations:

Make words that students have learned according to their levels.
Prepare and cut out 3 sets of word cards and put them in the box. Use 3 different colored papers for each set.

Directions:

Make groups of about 8-10 students.
The teacher writes down the meaning of each color on the board.
Pink-- Speaking, Peach-- Acting, Light blue-Drawing
One student from each group comes to the front and picks up one card and give it back to the teacher after seeing.
The students who explain the word by speaking must not say word directly.
Other students from each group try to guess what the word is while their group member explains the word by speaking, acting or drawing.
Each group has a time limit of 20 seconds to answer.
If any group doesn't answer in 30 seconds, other groups can try to steal within 15 seconds and get extra points.
The group who answers correctly first gets the point.

Considerations:

Students can't use the other two methods to explain their word.
If the students answer more than three times incorrectly, they get minus points.
